Yahoo Answers It places pressure on the discs. Our spine can cope better if you sit leaning slightly forward, or leaning slightly back. Slouching and sitting up straight will cause pain in the long term because the vertebrae are haven't enough support from the muscles. Every night and morning try doing gentle floor stretches on the floor, similar to yoga exercises. Or just lay on the floor on your back, bring your knees up to your chest.
